Interested in social, rhetorical, and theological interpretation of early Christian literature. Emphases include apocalyptic literature (especially Revelation), early Christian identity, the Synoptic Gospels, and questions of empire and resistance.
Currently chair the Society of Biblical Literature Rhetoric & the New Testament Section and co-chair the SBL's International Meeting Apocalyptic Literature Section.
